The United Nations Association-USA, Westchester chapter held its Annual Meeting at the Community Unitarian Church in White Plains. About 70 people attended the program, including a lot of students and young professionals. Bob Clark, Acting Director and Archivist at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum gave the keynote speech. We also heard from long-term UNA-USA members about their motivation and support to the United Nations. 2014 Annual Meeting
UNA-USA of Westchester had a very successful annual meeting on Sunday, May 4 from 4 to 6 P.M. at the Community Unitarian Church, 468 Rosedale Avenue, in White Plains.
 
 "Corporate Social Responsibility and Partnerships with the United Nations"

 Mr. Amir Dossal, Chairman, Global Partnerships Forum and Special Representative of the Secretary-General of ITU 
 Mr. Daniel Bena, Head for Sustainable Development Global Operations at PepsiCo

The theme of this year's event was "Corporate Social Responsibility and Partnerships with the United Nations," and we were fortunate to have secured two distinguished speakers to kick off the meeting. Mr. Amir Dossal, Chairman of the Global Partnerships Forum and Special Representative of the Secretary-General of ITU keynoted the meeting, describing the evolution of partnerships at the UN and the role of business in helping achieve the UN Development Goals. Mr. Daniel Bena, Head for Sustainable Development Global Operations at PepsiCo, shared his company's experience working with the UN and he explained how this partnership fits within a broader corporate social responsibility agenda.
